JANESVILLE, WI – KANDU Industries, Inc. recently received a $2,000 grant from the Alliant Energy Foundation to be used for the Production Accessibility Initiative. This money will be used to purchase scales and heat sealers for our production facilities. Specifically, the scales include light and sound indicators that assist client workers with judgment calls and tells them they have reached a pre-set stopping point. This enables a wider variety of workers to perform more tasks on the production floor while upholding quality standards. Heat sealers are necessary for a wide variety of KANDU’s contracted production jobs. The additional heat sealers will allow more clients to perform these needed tasks.

KANDU is a not-for-profit organization that creates experiences that offer persons with disabilities or disadvantages the opportunity to enjoy their rights, fulfill their responsibilities, and achieve greater independence.
