JANESVILLE, WI – Best Events Catering is pleased to announce the promotion of Amber Landre to the Pontiac Convention Center Event Manager. Landre has been with Best Events for over two years, having been an event planner. Landre has an Associates Degree in Meeting and Event Management from MATC. She volunteers with Labor Fest and is a past volunteer for S.M.I.L.E.S. (Special Methods in Learning Equine Skills). Landre residents in Janesville with her American Bulldog, Dexter.

KANDU is a not-for-profit organization that creates, promotes and provides diverse opportunities within the community that offer persons with disabilities or disadvantages the opportunity to pursue greater independence and meet their full potential.

KANDU’s – Fish Fry & More on March 15 & 22

KANDU’s Fish Fry & More will be held at the Best Events Banquet Hall at 1741 Adel Street in Janesville on Friday, March 15 & 22, 2013 from 4-8 pm. No reservations required. Adult tickets for those 12 and older are $12.95, children 4 – 11 are $7.95, and kids 3 and under are free.

The menu includes a selection of eight entrees, seven sides, three salads, and drinks. Dessert and a cash bar will be open throughout serving hours. Any diner over 21 receives their first draft beer free. Take out is also available. There will be raffle prizes.

Sponsors can purchase a table for $100, which includes four dinners and recognition throughout the evening. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.

KANDU’s Cultural Cuisine 2013 Series

KANDU Industries is continuing its Cultural Cuisine Dinner series. The cultures for 2013 were chosen by this last year’s diners and revealed at the French dinner last November.

The cultures to be explored this year will be:

March 7th – Cuba
May 2nd – Turkey
September 5th – England
November 7th – Korea

Diners enjoy delicious food, fabulous décor, and wonderful entertainment that will immerse them in the culture. Tickets for individual dinners are $40 per person. ‘Passports’, which include all four dinners, are also available for purchase up until the first dinner on March 7, 2013. Passports cost $140 per person and include two raffle tickets (a savings of $20 per person – $40 per couple). Seating is by reservation only.

KANDU HOSTS WINE & BEER TASTING EVENT

JANESVILLE, WI – KANDU Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce it is hosting Grapes & Hops, featuring celebrity pourers on Saturday, Febuary 16^th 2013 from 6-10 pm. Tickets are $45 per person in advance, $55 at the door.

Grapes & Hops will be held at the Best Events banquet facility at 1741 Adel St., Janesville. The evening will be a celebration of domestic and international wines and beers, with spectacular hors d’ oeuvres, acoustic music by Duane Worden, silent auction items, and raffle prizes. Guests will also learn proper tasting techniques and more from our professionals, Alice Bleu and Mark Miller from Badger Spirits.

Tickets can be purchased from any celebrity pourer or by calling KANDU at 608-755-4123. Badger Spirits also has tickets available in their stores in both Janesville and Beloit.
