A time limited opportunity for persons with barriers to employment who need to improve work skills and competencies, persons reentering the workforce or needing to enhance their work experience.

MISSION:

A time limited training program to develop and strengthen work skills and competencies, and identify needs and preferences of the individual in a controlled work environment.

ADMISSION CRITERIA:

• Have a barrier to employment
• Be referred by an agency having a service contract with KANDU or through a private payment agreement
• Be at least 16 years of age
• Be as independent as possible
• Criminal justice history
• Reports from previous or current service providers/employers

SERVICES PROVIDED:

• Work training/vocational skills
• Work rules/policies
• Social integration in a work environment
• Daily contact with coworkers
• Transportation arrangements, if necessary (paid by purchaser)
• Periodic performance reviews

REPORTING/STAFFING REQUIREMENTS:

• MEETINGS: Held as requested by individual, referring agency, staff and/or medical personnel.
• TIME AND ATTENDANCE REPORTS: As requested.
• JOBS AND/OR OTHER REPORTS: As requested.
