Janesville, Wis. (May 23, 2023) – KANDU Industries Inc., a Janesville, Wis.-based non-profit organization that provides programs and services to people with disabilities and disadvantages, welcomes Amanda Pellizzi to its board of directors. Pellizzi is the VP of human resources at Prent Corporation, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of custom thermoform packaging for the medical, electronics and consumer industries.
Pellizzi is a 2005 graduate of UW-Whitewater with a degree in human resource management. Pellizzi graduated from the Leadership Development Academy of Rock County in 2019, an organization that provides personal and professional development opportunities for aspiring community leaders.
“I learned about KANDU through their Return-to-Work program, which has been a great resource for Prent when we have an employee who needs specialized support due to temporary physical restrictions we cannot accommodate in our facility. Recently, I had the opportunity to meet KANDU’s Executive Director Kathy Hansen and learn more about how other KANDU programs impact our community and I knew I wanted to be more involved,” said Pellizzi.
“We are excited to welcome Amanda and look forward to the contributions she will make as a member of KANDU’s board of directors,” said Board President Joel Chappelle. “Amanda brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to KANDU, and we are confident that her passion and expertise will help us continue to fulfill our mission to provide premier programming and services to people with disabilities in Rock County.”
Pellizzi joined KANDU’s board as the non-profit was preparing to announce its recent purchase of the 110,000 sq. ft. Blackhawk Technical College Advanced Manufacturing Training facility in Milton, Wis. KANDU purchased the facility as part of its strategic plan to serve more community members with disabilities and to provide a better work/life experience for its existing 200 clients. Pellizzi will join other board members in guiding the organization as it embarks on the next chapter of its 60 years of service to the Rock County community.
