Milton, Wis. (January 5, 2026)KANDU Industries Inc., a Rock County, Wis.-based non-profit organization that provides programs and services to people with disabilities and disadvantages is pleased to announce that Kim Adamany and Greg Phillips were unanimously elected to join its board of directors, effective January 1, 2026.

At the same time, KANDU extends its deepest gratitude to Joel Chappelle and Kim Hesgard, whose nine years of dedicated board service concluded on December 31, 2025. Chappelle served as board president from 2020–2024, guiding the organization through a period of significant growth and strategic expansion. Hesgard served as board secretary through the conclusion of her term, providing consistent leadership and governance support.

“I had the privilege of working alongside Joel Chappelle and Kim Hesgard during one of the most significant periods of transformation in KANDU’s history,” said KANDU Board President Michael Davis. “Their nine years of service helped guide the consolidation of all of our former facilities into our new Milton campus, a milestone that strengthened our operations, expanded our programs, and positioned KANDU for long-term sustainability. Their leadership, integrity, and deep commitment to our mission have left a lasting legacy, and the entire organization is stronger because of them.”

Welcoming New Leadership

Kim Adamany, chief operating officer and second-generation owner of DSB Technologies, brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience in advanced manufacturing, innovation, and community engagement. Under her leadership, DSB has expanded into defense manufacturing, additive metal technologies, and advanced production solutions. A Janesville native, Adamany holds degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Miami and has led organizations across multiple states before returning home to grow her family’s company and invest in her community.

Adamany’s connection to KANDU is deeply personal. Her mother’s experience with fronto-temporal dementia gave her firsthand insight into the critical importance of adult day care services and caregiver support, a mission that strongly aligns with KANDU’s work.

Greg Phillips, retired dean emeritus of manufacturing, apprenticeship, training & technology at Blackhawk Technical College, brings decades of experience in workforce development, technical education, and apprenticeship program leadership. Phillips was instrumental in forming the Stateline Manufacturing Alliance, strengthening the regional talent pipeline, and launching the Accelerated Industrial Maintenance (AIM) program to create hands-on career pathways for students.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, licensed Wisconsin master electrician, and former manufacturing professional, Phillips has received numerous honors, including Educator of the Year from both the Milton Chamber of Commerce and Forward Janesville, and induction into the Wisconsin Apprenticeship Hall of Fame in 2025.

“Kim Adamany and Greg Phillips join the board at an exciting and pivotal time for KANDU,” said Davis. “Their combined leadership experience, strategic perspective, and dedication to community impact will be invaluable as we continue to grow our services, strengthen partnerships, and advance our mission throughout the region. On behalf of the board, I am proud to welcome them and confident in the future direction of KANDU under their guidance.”

As KANDU Industries continues to expand services for individuals with disabilities and seniors across southern Wisconsin, the organization looks forward to the strength, insight, and dedication these leaders bring to its mission.
