Milton, Wis. (December 3, 2025) – KANDU Industries Inc., a Rock County, Wis.-based non-profit organization that provides programs and services to people with disabilities and disadvantages announced that Wisconsin State Representative Brienne Brown visited KANDU Industries on Monday, December 1 to tour the organization’s new 110,000-square-foot facility and learn more about the programs and services that support individuals with disabilities.
During the visit, Rep. Brown met with KANDU clients and staff across several program areas, including prevocational and community employment, day habilitation, and its creative aging solutions, which include adult daycare for people with disabilities, memory care for seniors with dementia, and its new in-home support program.
“It was a pleasure to welcome Representative Brown and share the remarkable work that happens inside KANDU every day,” said Kathy Hansen, executive director of KANDU Industries. “Her interest in meeting our clients and understanding their needs reflects a meaningful commitment to supporting disability services throughout Wisconsin.”
Rep. Brown’s tour included conversations with program participants, direct support professionals, and leadership about the importance of individualized services, job training opportunities, and community inclusion. She also learned about KANDU’s expanding role in serving surrounding counties and the growing demand for day services, employment programs, and in-home supports.
KANDU leaders expressed appreciation for Rep. Brown’s engagement and emphasized how strong public partnerships help ensure that people with disabilities and the families who support them have access to quality programs close to home.
